We usually convert Hi8, Video8 and Digital8 tapes to MP4 H264 (popular, easy to use, and compressed for a smaller file size), but if you need something like MOV, WMV, or AVI, just let us know—we’ve got options!

We’ve managed to save a bunch of tricky tapes in the past! If your 8mm tape needs a little TLC, we’ll take a look. Just a heads-up, we can’t make promises and there is a minimum charge for repair work.

Right now, we don’t convert Hi8, Video8 or Digital8 PAL format tapes—just NTSC (the standard in North America). But if enough people ask for it, we might upgrade our gear to handle those too!

Sometimes with old, unmarked tapes, it’s hard to remember if there was anything recorded on them, especially if you no longer have a camcorder to check it out yourself. 

If there’s nothing usable, we’ll only charge a flat rate of $5 per tape to check them out. But if there is content, we’ll charge based on the actual converted time.

Yep! We can totally cut out the random TV shows and just keep the good stuff—like your childhood birthday parties or that trip to Disney. Editing is $45/hr, with a half-hour minimum.
